JOB DESIGNATION : Database Administrator
Skills and Eligibility Required :
- Candidate should have software and firmware maintenance of the Database servers in the Database machine including upgrades and patching.
- Candidates have software and firmware maintenance of the Exadata storage servers in the Database machine including upgrades and patching.
- Candidates have software and firmware maintenance of the InfiniBand switches in the Database machine including upgrades and patching.
- Candidates have to provides and implements performance and tuning recommendations of all components in the Database machines.
- Candidates have to ensures consistent backup's using RMAN & consistent DR databases using Data Guard.
- Candidate should have Oracle Exadata DBA to maintain Oracle Exadata engineered system and databases, implementing and managing Database security, OEM monitoring, database performance tuning, backup & recovery using RMAN.
- Candidates DBA should proactively identify and respond to issues that may impact the availability or performance of databases.
- Candidates DBA should have Linux expertise as well as Oracle RAC, ASM and networking skills.
- Candidate should have to configures the machines to meet internal security requirements.
- Candidate should have to establishes appropriate procedures and guidelines to pursue, track and document Service Requests (SRs).
- Candidate should analyzes and determines the feasibility of leveraging the Oracle Enterprise Manager solution to report on performance, provide metrics,set up alerts and threshold criteria and become the centralized proactive maintenance solution for Exadata distributions.
- Candidate should have to monitors and maintains critical hardware information for the database machine.
- Candidate should have proactive triaging of alerts and database performance before they become issues.
- Candidate should have to performs Root Cause analysis for issues and addresses them timely.
- Candidate should have UNIX shell scripting, addressing Exadata Hardware alerts and issues in time.
- Candidate should have Database change management, code governance & ensures best practices are followed.
- Candidate should working with Oracle to patch Exadata servers in time.
