ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : Bachelor's/Master's Degree
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : 1 - 3 Years
JOB WORKING LOCATION : Bangalore
Skills and Eligibility Required :
- Candidate should provide adequate technical details to the internal and external teams to substantiate the findings and provide support in issue resolution.
- Candidate should setup the test bed as per the hardware configuration matrix for the release consisting of platforms, peripherals, add-on cards etc and then install required software like firmware, BIOS, OS etc. Perform validation and/or certification as per the Test Strategy / Plan.
- Candidate should have troubleshoot system/component issues (Hardware/Software). Characterize and provide support in Root Cause Analysis of the defects on multiple VMware ESX/ESXi versions.
- Candidates should have to build rapport with the vendors and the teams at Dell. Work in coordination with the teams to achieve engineering objectives.
- Candidates should have to study new technologies offered by Dell and share the knowledge with team members through presentations.
- Candidates should have to keep track of developments in the Virtualization technologies, use the knowledge to train and improve the internal processes.
- Candidates should assist other Dell teams, as and when needed to resolve OS issues.
- Candidates should have hands-on exposure to VMware ESX/ESXi server and vCenter Server, good understanding of other virtualization technologies will be a plus.
- Candidates must have good analytical skills to trouble shoot technical issues.
- Candidates should have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates should have experience involving day-to-day interaction with distributed teams would be an added advantage.
- Candidates should be very good in Computer Architecture, with good exposure to Hardware, BIOS, and Firmware layers.
- Candidates should have good understanding of Hypervisors (ESX/ESXi architecture), networking and storage subsystems.
