INDIAN COAST GUARD COMPANY :
The Coast Guard in India on 01 Feb 1977 as a new service was the result of an awareness that had been growing for some time in the Government for the requirement to enforce National Laws in the waters under national jurisdiction and ensure safety of life and property at sea. It was also considered desirable that these law enforcement responsibilities should be undertaken by a service suitably equipped and modeled on the Coast Guards of advanced nations like USA, UK etc leaving the Navy to exercise the fleet for its wartime role.The Coast Guard is the principal agency for enforcement of provisions of all national enactment in force in the maritime zones of India and provides following services to the Nation and marine community.Ensuring safety and protection of the artificial islands, offshore installations and other structure in our maritime zones.Its providing protection to fishermen and assistance to them at sea while in distress.It is also preservation and protection of our maritime environment including prevention and control of maritime pollution.
Job Description :
1. Candidates should have a Bachelors degree of recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
2. Candidates should hold Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education with 60% aggregate marks of both subjects.
3. Candidates should be born between 01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1994 .
4. Candidates should be as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant.
Eligibility Criteria :
1. Candidates should have cleared their final year/ final semester exams and completed their degrees are to apply.
2. Candidates is not eligible who is under progress in education.
3. Candidates who have already appeared in previous PSB for 02/2015 batch held in the month of Jan 15 need not to apply.
4. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category have maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate.
5. Candidates should have minimum 157cm height for required post.
6. Candidates should have eye sight of 6/6 6/9 - Uncorrected without Glass, 6/6 6/6 - Corrected with Glass.
