MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (MHA) :
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) or Home Ministry is a ministry of the Government of India. An interior ministry, it is mainly responsible for the maintenance of internal security and domestic policy. The Home Ministry is headed by Union Minister of Home Affairs (or Home Minister), currently Rajnath Singh. The following cadre controlling authority of the Civil Services (including Indian Police Service (IPS), DANICS and DANIPS) are under the administration and supervision of the Home Ministry.The ministerial team at the MHA is headed by the Union Cabinet Minister of Home Affairs, who is supported by one Minister of State and civil servants assigned to them to manage the ministers office and ministry.The Ministers are supported by a number of civilian, scientific and professional advisors. The Home Secretary is the senior civil servant at the MHA. His/Her role is to ensure the MHA operates effectively as a department of the government.
Job Description :
1. Candidates should be performing documentation and development of national level information base relating to disaster management policies, prevention mechanisms and mitigation measures.
2. Candidates is also responsible for planning and promoting training and research in the area of disaster management.
3. Candidates should also responsible for implementation of the decisions of the institute.
4. Candidates should perform the functions which are be assigned by the central Government.
5. Candidates should be in charge of the administration of the institute and functions as Head of the Department.
Eligibility Criteria :
1. Candidates should be from officers of central Government or state government, etc.
2. Candidates should have 18 years of administrative and academic experience.
3. Candidates should also posses Master's degree in any subject.
4. Candidates should have knowledge and experience of not less than five years in fields related to disaster management.
5. Candidates must have Ph.D or M.Phil. in any subject related to disaster management.
