Promotion of exports of spices and spice products.Maintenance and monitoring of quality of exports. Processes and forwards foreign trade enquiries to reliable exporters. It organises a common platform for interaction between Indian exporters and international buyers through the World Spice Congress. Development and implementation of better production methods, through scientific, technological and economic research. Guidance to farmers on getting higher and better quality yields through scientific agricultural practices. It helps importers and exporters in establishing mutual contact.Identifies competent supply sources for specific requirements of importers. Examines each complaint from importers for corrective and preventive action. It also spearheads the quality improvement programme for Indian spices. The company also brings together international bodies, exporters and policy makers through contact group programmes.
Essential Requirement for Candidates :
1. Candidates should be a Postgraduate Degree holder(M.Sc) in Food Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology and Food technology.
2. Candidates should be having good ability to draft technical or scientific reports in English.
3. Candidates with good communication is essential.
Job description for Candidates :
1. Candidates should be having minimum 6 months of professional experience in a standards setting environment.
2. Candidates preference given to working in the development and implementation of food control programmes at regional, national, or international level, including the elaboration of food standards, guidelines and regulations.
3. Candidates should be having working experience in the food safety sector.
4. Candidates should also have experience in dealing with Codex Alimentarius Commission is an added advantage.
5. Candidates should be having knowledge of intergovernmental bodies, governmental services and international non-governmental organizations operating in the field of standards, particularly in relation to food.
6. Candidates also having experience in dealing with senior government, regional and international organization/ offices.
